Janie Spurgeon
Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer
Janie joined the Community Foundation in 2017 to lead our development and donor services team. She brings nearly 25 years of experience to this role and has since become a key part of our leadership. Prior to joining the Foundation, Janie worked as the Vice President of Individual Philanthropy at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette. She has also led multi-state major and planned giving programs for the American Cancer Society.
Janie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Utah. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, camping and all the wonderful adventures that come with raising two children. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, serves on the board of CASA for Children for Multnomah, Washington and Columbia Counties and with the Duniway Schools Foundation.
